After the demise of my aunt, my house has not been the same as before… When she was around, my mum was always either arguing or joking with her, my dad always fighting with her on which channel to watch, my bro and her debating about political issues and with me it was the time for us to comment about certain tv programmes or funny incidents we have read and heard of… our family is unable to accept that she is gone and we still believe she is with us…watching over us in everyway….

Few issues happening in Malaysia has been traumatizing…a malaysian boy by the name of Kugan was tortured and beaten to death while being under custody in the police station and this is not the only incident involving death while being in custody! There has been over 80 deaths so far as reported in the papers and internet…. To know more you can view the video here.

Its really sad to see such brutality and prejudiced treatment from the authorities, when they are suppose to ensure law and order among the people. . .What are Human Rights Group doing about such atrocities???

Just hoping for changes to occur….but at times, changes are forced to occur….. we shall wait n see….

A tribute to my Aunt Kamala…I miss her…

I lost my guardian angel on the 13th of Jan 2008. She is none other than my aunt Kamala… She is my Father’s younger sister. She had an history of illness and had been suffering for the past 30 yrs. She had to endure endless pain and suffering for those years. I have personally seen her suffering and had no idea what she was goin thru… A few times she claimed she had pain on her back and arm and had asked me to rub ointment for her and i have done it.. believing that it was just a normal pain, till i found out she actually had an heart attack. She survived that and still fought on…. i did accompany her to SGH when she had to go for a scope, and she secretly told me that the doc suspected she had cancerous lumps in her stomach and told me not to tell anyone. I panicked and prayed and she came back all happy coz it wasn’t wad the doctor assumed… she even fought that…

By the way my aunt was unmarried, thus all her life she only cared about me and my bro. We were lucky enough to live with her in the same house. I have joked with her, fought with her, spoke with her about relevant issues… she was always asking me to get a job soon and to meet the right guy and marry, if not live on my own instead of being with the wrong guy…haha… she was sumone who loved food.. she loved to cook for us… i used to enjoy her dishes… for Christmas last year she bought turkey and requested my family fren to do it for us. She knew i had a special craving for cinnamon rolls, prawn vadai and kueh lopez and took the trouble to buy it for me and always gave me special surprises….she was so fond of me and my bro… she was waiting for me to complete my degree and she wanted to see me in my convocation gown…I still remember the Sunday when she cooked for the whole family….and i didnt know that was the last time i was going to taste her cooking…

She was admitted in the hospital on the 12th of Jan as she was suffering from pain in the stomach…. My elder aunt was with her and she asked my aunt to leave and asked her to return back the next day. At 3a.m i recieved a call to my hse and i answered and nurse said ” We are calling fm SGH. Mdm Kamala is really really really sick. Can you’ll come to the hospital?” Upon hearing that i knew something was really wrong and woke up everyone in my house. My Dad, elder aunt and I rushed down to the hospital as my mum had to be home to look after my Granny. When i reached there, they told us that her pulse rate was goin down and she was rushed to the ICU… After 2 hours, they said that she was no more and she is no longer breathing but the Machine was causing the rising of the chest… we were allowed to see her for the last time tt way… i just could’nt accept it… i just felt as if she was sleeping and kept watching her, hoping for a miracle to happen… but she left….

Her pain and suffering has ended finally…

I called and informed her frens, colleagues and family frens and all of them just broke down over the phone. My house was filled with her frens and all of them were crying uncontrollably, followed by my mum’s siblings and they were too crying non-stop…

My aunt always went for church tours and always visited the church with her frens, although she was a hindu. She was the one who instilled to me and my bro the believe in Christianism as well and my whole family worships the gods from both the religion…She looked so peaceful in the coffin and everyone noticed the smile on her face. Her colleagues got a card for her with their own messages, for her to bring along with her.Since she was a hindu, the funeral was held in a hindu way but my bro requested her colleagues and frens to tell a prayer for her and they did with tears and finally her close fren, Angela aunt mentioned to my Kamala Aunt ”and now we are going to sing Amazing Grace, as you requested Kamala” and they sang it for her with tears…. Everyone rushed to the Crematorium, to bid her our last farewell… i couldnt be there as my Father was the one who did the last rites for her and i had to drive him back to the house once he did the last rites…I am unable to accept that my aunt has left us for the other world…

She was someone who helped everyone in need… She cried when her loved ones were suffering. She helped everyone in my family, she always helped everyone financially without procrastinating… And the tears everyone shed for her was the sign to show that she was someone precious and she is going to be so missed by everyone…. I promised to look after her, even if i ever got married and those words meant so much for her that she kept mentioning it to my mum, but she didn’t give me the chance to keep up to my word…but what ever it is i m glad she doesnt have to go thru all the pain she went thru and she is finally pain free, with God… I believe she is always mine and my bro’s guardian angel always there when we needed and need someone…. She is always cherished by all her loved ones and she will never leave my heart… i did not have a chance to tell her that I loved her but I really do…May you rest in peace My dear Aunt Kamala.

Tonight i started talking about my past relationship to a few new friends and it jus rekindled a few bitter memories…. The new frens of mine are having disastrous relationships with their supposed soul-mates. They are actually undergoing divorce. I shall name them Fren A and Fren B. Fren A ,married his childhood sweetheart and expected a blissful marriage, but within 2 yrs, the spouse returned back to her dad’s place. I am unsure who really was in the wrong here, as its wrong to assume a particular person is in the wrong, without knowing both sides of the story. As for fren B, his marriage was an hurried affair by his mum, as his ex’s family did not like him, thus i suppose due to pride issues the mother married him off to a gal of the mother’s choice. Unfortunately things did not turn out pleasant, as the gal was not keen in the marriage at the first place. And i wonder why she could not tell this before the marriage? but i might be missing out on the full story as i did not want to keep probing him for details as he was obviously upset while telling me his story.

Its really sad when a marriage crumbles in such a disastrous way. What happens to the vow made by the couple: “Till death do us apart”?

It troubles me to see so many young couples hurriedly getting married and then ending off their marriage and worse still when children are involved…BUT Sometimes, some marriages are better off coming to an end, when abuses and words of hatred are being hurled at each other, especially when the poor kids are involved.

And… coincidentally sad songs are being telecasted on sun tv, not helping to curb my current grevious state!!! Starting from “Nilavae vaa..” fm mouna raagam, “vennilavae vennilavae…(sad version)” fm minsara kanavu,”unnai nenachen…” fm aboorva sagotharargal and “oorae therinchikitten..” fm padikkathavan!!! why ohhhh why???!!!

I have decided to stick to wordpress for good! Its really annoying when i want to really blog about something with such enthusiasm and i can’t access my other blog at friendster!

New year eve was celebrated at Sembawang Park. I booked a pit sometime back and expected lots more people to turn up but it was the famous 5 with surprise attendance by a few people, new and old for our new yr celebration. Dharsh,Gaya,Ragu,Vanan and me met up at 7p.m on the 31st… we headed to Causeway point to get our bbq stuff so tha eventually ended at around 8 plus… Sanju had to be brought down by Gaya and Ragu, so tt left me n dharsh to wait under the blk. It was jus the 2 of us as Vanan had to get back to bring a few of his stuff. So after Ragu and Gaya were done i drove to fetch Vanan and we headed to Sembawang Park. Gosh! the park was so freaking crowded! There were no parking lots available but thank the lucky angels our pit was closer to the other car park which had fewer cars, so i parked dere and we got all our stuff out and headed to the pit. The pit was located beside a shelter so we were kinda excited abt tt but we had thousands of other guests along wif us! Yes the ants!!! They were practically crawling everywhere and we had a hard time guarding the food fm em.

: Failure BBQ!

BBQ began at 11 p.m! We had chicken,sausage,crab meat and scallop bought by Vanan, Dharsh, Gaya and Ragu while i brought Sambal Stingray and Corn, made by my mum. The food was yummy and it was accompanied by 2 bottles of Jim Beam and 1/2 a bottle of Vodka. The mixture we got was coke and the vodka Sooooo didnt go well with the coke! Yuck! Other guests for our new yr celeb was Kohi, Bala, Chitra( Vanan’s fren) and Rekha( Vanan’a fren). After much ‘K-siaoing’ i eventually headed back ard 9 am not forgettin ma bro’s styrofoam box to store ice!

I had great fun celebrating the birth of the new year and i am hoping this year to be the best for me and my family and for all ma closed ones! I just hope alot of changes happen in my life this year. I have been working towards alot of things which requires my will power to make it work… and so far i have seen progress! I am learning to set my priorities and goals in the right place…and i dunt noe y but suddenly i feel more stronger and i feel theres a fire burning within me, wanting to achieve alot of things in my life! I have learnt to be more faithful to my God! I have made it a point to really pray and meditate and do things which were taught by my mum many years ago… jus wishing for lotz of changes…. with the blessings of my Lord Shiva, Om Namashivaya!

Well on FrIday, i met Dharshini, Gayathrie and Becky in Little India. The plan was to have dinner in Iniavans but we were suddenly craving for Thosai, so we decided to go down to Karaikudis. Nicely whack there and we walked down to Mustafa Centre.B4 reachin dere Gaya and Becky had to pull off some stunts!!! They were imitating the suicide scene from Punnagai Mannan, excluding the Kissing Scene. Drama Mamiz la!!! Gaya got herself the eyeshadow. (Thanx to Becky :p)
Gaya and becky decided to head back home, since they were working on Saturdays and Dharsh and i met Vanan who decided to make his sudden appearance to Farrer Park. He was hungry so he ate in a coffeeshop near the shopping centre, while i had tea and Dharsh had iced milo. The looks we got there…Gosh!!! Everyone was lookin at us as if we were some aliens!!! LoL!!!

We decided to sit @ Dharsh’s void deck and talk rot… n decided to head back @ ard 2…

Saturday, Dharsh and her mummy went to Toa payoh to celebrate her Granny’s B’dae… i decided to drive down to Toa payoh to fetch her and sent her mum back home to Woodlands. We fetched Vanan and proceeded down to Yishun to meet Kohilavani. The initial plan was to play bowling…but unfortunately it was too crowded so we didn’t get to play and we decided to head down to our “PORT” 925!!!! Hahaha… That is e place we gals used to hang out during our “Vetti Times“. I was hungry and had cod fish fillet with fries…. it was Yummy!!! Kohi had Chicken chop. Afterwards i drove down to sembawang park and got some drinks and tit bits… went down dere to relaccccc n tok cock and listen to music and den @ ard 4 we left… Well didn’t do anythin much but hopefully next week dere will be more fun!!!

Today i was so excited about meeting the gals for some dinner session….

Becky wanted to treat us,due to her recent promotion. So we were intending to go either to Spageddies in Marina Sq or Modesto’s in Vivo City…but due to some unforseen circumstances e plan got cancelled.

Recent update is that Dharshini, wanna go Iniavans coz i guess she misses eatin indian food served on the banana leaf…. ;p

So later on, i gotta head down to Tekka!!!!
